Body Corporate Stairwell Painting in Labrador, Gold Coast
CAC Coatings recently completed a body corporate painting project in Labrador on the Gold Coast, refreshing two three-level stairwells within a residential complex.
The project involved thorough cleaning and surface preparation, repairs where required, and repainting the stairwell walls, ceilings, doors and frames. The result was a brighter, cleaner and more welcoming common area for residents and visitors.
Before We Started
Before painting began, the two stairwells were showing signs of general wear and ageing, with the existing wall colours making the common areas feel dated.
The project provided an opportunity to refresh these shared spaces with a lighter wall colour, renewed ceilings and freshly painted doors and frames, creating a cleaner and more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Preparation
Proper preparation was an important part of refreshing the two stairwells. Before painting began, we thoroughly cleaned the surfaces to remove built-up dirt, dust and grime.
Surrounding areas were carefully protected, and the walls and other surfaces were inspected, patched and sanded where required to create a suitable base for painting.
Taking the time to complete this preparation helped ensure a clean, consistent and professional finish throughout the shared stairwell areas.
Scope of Works Completed
The project involved the preparation and repainting of two three-level stairwells within a residential body corporate complex in Labrador, Gold Coast.

Cleaning stairwell walls, ceilings and surrounding surfaces before painting.
Protecting floors, stairs and adjoining areas throughout the project.
Patching, sanding and preparing surfaces where required.
Repainting stairwell walls in Dulux Lexicon Quarter with a low-sheen finish.
Refreshing ceilings with a flat ceiling paint.
Repainting the textured surfaces beneath the staircases in white.
Preparing, undercoating and repainting external doors and frames using a durable enamel finish.
Completing final touch-ups and cleaning the work areas on completion.
All work was carried out with attention to surface preparation, consistent finishes and the care required when working in shared residential spaces.
Completed Project
The completed repaint has given both stairwells a fresh, brighter and more welcoming appearance.
The existing wall colour was replaced with Dulux Lexicon Quarter, creating a lighter, more modern feel throughout the three-level common areas. The ceilings were refreshed, while the doors and frames were carefully prepared and repainted to complement the updated surroundings.
